CODE 19
A branding initiative for a tech conference focusing on local vo-tech and tech-centric high school students.
Digital collages were created by layering coding language, mechanical imagery, and organic forms to create unique and visually striking images. A mantra was written to encapsulate the event and inspire students to pursue their passions. A micro-site was built through AccuWeather's third-party platform –splash.com, which allowed event RSVPs to be easily tracked and organized. The website was sent to teachers to be disseminated for their students to RSVP.

The Logo
A modular logo was created that would allow for experimentation throughout all aspects of the event. Different logo iterations were used on posters to easily denote which topics were being discussed.
The morphing animation was used as opening “screensaver” slides for each presentation while students were finding their seats.
Giveaways
As they entered the Bryce Jordan Center, each student received a gift bag filled with personalized name tags, a map of the BJC, a notebook with their itinerary, stickers, API fact sheets, and shirts.
The Event
Following the keynote, students broke out into eight discussion panels to cover topics such as, API's, Data Management, and Security. Students choose four of the eight panels and broke for lunch in between the second and third panels. Over lunch, students were able to meet with panelists as well as get resumé and interview advice from AccuWeather’s HR and Career Advancement booth. During these sessions, students were shown presentations as well as practical coding exercises, all sessions were led by AccuWeather tech professionals.
